DR VIDUR CHOPRA
Dr Vidur Chopra, focuses on adolescent and youth civic agency in the developing world and particularly in post-conflict countries with large youth bulges. His area of expertise also extends to refugee and forced migration phenomena, and the role of formal and non-formal educational opportunities in young people’s imaginings of their roles in rebuilding conflict-torn societies. He is also interested in understanding the potential and promise education holds for peace building.
Vidur has policy-based experience while consulting for UNICEF and UNHCR and practice-based experience while working for international organizations such as Save the Children and RET. He has also worked on early childhood development issues in the developing world and has had international work experience in Bhutan, Burundi, Ethiopia, India, Rwanda, Syria and the United States. Vidur has a doctoral degree from Havard University, an M.A. in International and Development Economics from Yale University and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Delhi, India.
