Luciana joined Samuel Hall in January 2024 as a Research Assistant in the Research and Policy Pillar. She holds a Masters in International and Development Studies from the Geneva Graduate Institute, specialising in poverty-reduction policies, gender, and the humanitarian-development-peace nexus. For her thesis, she analysed the effects of conditional cash transfers in fostering small-scale entrepreneurship in urban settings.
Before joining Samuel Hall, Luciana worked at UNDP’s Accelerator Lab in Buenos Aires, first as an intern and then as a consultant, where she contributed to research and program coordination in projects related to energy poverty, women’s financial inclusion, and citizen science, working together with local civil society and government agencies.
More recently, Luciana interned at the OECD International Migration Division where she researched the labour market integration of migrants, focusing on migrants’ partners and families. She also has prior experience working in project coordination and organisational development, from her time leading a social innovation initiative and working in philanthropy for Oak Foundation in Geneva. Luciana holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Affairs from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in Argentina.
