DR LEANDER KANDILIGE
Dr. Leander Kandilige is a Lecturer of Migration Studies at the Centre for Migration Studies, University of Ghana, Visiting Lecturer at the University of Northampton, and Research Associate at the Refugee Studies Centre, University of Oxford. His research interests include but not limited to: Global South-North migratory movements and their effects on policy formulation, migration-development nexus and implications for developing countries, migration theories and population dynamics, globalisation and development, and labour migrations in Africa.
He has been Principal Investigator, Co-Investigator, and Researcher for several projects that have been funded by international donors, including the ‘Aligning Migration Management and Migration-Development Nexus’ (MIGNEX), a five-year EU-funded project, and ‘Migration for Development and Equality’ (MIDEQ), a five-year GCRF/UKRI-funded project. He holds a D.Phil. (PhD) in Migration Studies from the School of Geography and the Environment (University of Oxford), an MSt. in Forced Migration (University of Oxford), MA in International Affairs (University of Ghana), Postgraduate Certificate in Managing Voluntary Organisations (University of Southampton) and BA (First Class Honours) in Political Science and Philosophy (University of Ghana).
