ICMPD - Developing the Ministry of Migration and Displaced Vision regarding Re-integration of Returnees to Iraq

September, 2021

The Project, ‘Capacity building for long-term reintegration of returnees to Afghanistan and Iraq’ (Project CAIR), funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark and implemented by ICMPD, aims to contribute to the creation of conditions for sustainable reintegration of Iraqi returnees, individuals as well as families, in their communities of return

. As part of the implementation plan, ICMPD aims to hold several workshops in order to develop a reintegration vision for Iraq, including capacity-building components. To this end, and as a first major activity, ICMPD is organising and conducting the first workshop for MOMD in Iraq. The workshop aimed at formulating a reintegration vision for Iraq with direct participation of MOMD (the Vision Workshop). The 2-day workshop led by co-founder Nassim Majidi took place in Erbil, Iraq. Samuel Hall developed the training agenda, curriculum, and wrote the draft vision for return and reintegration in Iraq.
