Regional policy dialogue: African Perspectives on Emergent Imperatives for the Population and Development Agenda

11.11.2019 - On 11th November 2019, Samuel Hall participated in a regional policy dialogue on African perspectives on emergent imperatives for the population and development agenda. The session explored the intersection of broad demographic trends - the rapidly expanding youth population, urbanisation, and the distinctive context of the Horn of Africa and West Africa – which include conflict and insecurity, political fragility, high levels of displacement and environmental change in addition to also looking into cross-border trade, free movement zones and economic development.
