LETICIA CRUXEN
Partnerships Officer

Letícia joined Samuel Hall in 2021, as Development Intern and rejoined the team in 2023 as Partnerships Officer. She holds a Bachelor's in International Relations and a Master's degree in Intelligence, Security and Strategic Studies. Her Master's dissertation is a study on the securitization of migration in her country, Brazil, comparing political speeches, legal framework and security professional's attitudes towards migrants and refugees.

Letícia has worked with migrants and refugees in Brazil since 2018. In 2020, she joined UNHCR's Private Sector Partnerships team as a Communication Intern. In 2022, she joined UN Women, UNHCR and Global Compact's project Empowering Refugee Women, working to consolidate partnerships between UN System, public and private sectors for the social-economic integration of refugee women and their families across several cities in Brazil.

In 2023, she provided psychosocial support to refugee families moving to the Brazilian countryside through AVSI's "Welcomed through Work" project. Besides her home country, Letícia has lived in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Czech Republic, Kenya and Turkey while working in NGOs, international organizations, and research centers and pursuing her studies.
