Kenza Bensaid

Kenza joined Samuel Hall in April 2022 as a Research Assistant. She holds a Master’s degree in Politics of Conflicts, Rights and Justice from SOAS University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. She has worked on several projects in West, Central and North Africa for UNICEF, The Global Knowledge Partnership on Migration and Development (KNOMAD) and Mercy Corps focusing on integration, return and re-integration, as well as the support of livelihoods for displaced or other vulnerable populations, and children protection in areas of protracted Conflicts. She is currently conducting a series of Gender Programmatic Reviews for various UNICEF country offices in West and Central Africa.

Her previous work experiences include research in a Brussels-based think tank focusing on European policy making and a communications traineeship at Relais-Prison Societe, a CSO aiming to defend the rights and interests of former prisoners and youth in conflict with the law in Casablanca. She also volunteered at Remix-Culture, a Moroccan NGO promoting interconnected and resilient communities through the transformative power of traditional music, film and remix. In addition to her native French and Arabic (Darija), she speaks fluent English, conversational Spanish and has elementary proficiency in Swahili.
