France Culture Programmation spéciale: “Afghanistan : urgence pour les réfugiés”

06.09.2021 - A week since the final American military evacuation flights left Kabul, Samuel Hall co-founder Nassim Majidi featured on France Culture’s special programme, ‘Afghanistan: emergency for refugees’. The event, hosted at Paris Théâtre de la Ville and designed in collaboration with French Afghan novelist Atiq Rahimi, saw Nassim feature alongside several Afghan thinkers, writers, artists and officials, as well as Didier Leschi, Director General of the French Office for Immigration and Integration.

Nassim stressed the urgency of the situation in Afghanistan, where tens of thousands of at risk individuals are trapped within the country and barred from leaving by the Taliban. Nassim, emphasising the vital importance of continued efforts to allow Afghans to leave their country, stressed that all Afghans - not just those deemed directly at risk - have a right to leave their country and should be recognised as prima facie refugees.
