MARTA ROCHA
Research Assistant

Marta Rocha joined Samuel Hall in October 2022 as a Research Assistant. She is currently based in Brussels, Belgium. Prior to joining Samuel Hall, she worked at the Organization for Identity and Cultural Development (OICD) on the development of courses to address identity-based divisions in schools, universities and businesses.

She also worked as a Political and Cultural Diplomacy Assistant at the Portuguese Embassy in Algiers, Algeria, where she contributed to the political, cultural, economic, and humanitarian reporting over the Embassy’s jurisdiction (Algeria and Mali). Upon graduating from her bachelor’s degree in 2018, Marta was recruited by the Navigator Company as a Communications and Brand Assistant, where she oversaw partnerships (including with National Geographic and FAO) and performed tasks related to stakeholders and project management (Navigator Tour, Social and Corporate Responsibility, and Environmental Monitoring Commissions).

She has also volunteered with NGOs in Morocco and Portugal, respectively AIESEC Morocco and the Refugee Support Platform, where she supported Iraqi and Syrian refugees.
