Emma Allen joined Samuel Hall’s Kabul team as a Project Officer in September 2016. Prior to joining Samuel Hall, Emma was involved with the Australian Red Cross in emergency response programming and with Amnesty International in gender and sexuality advocacy. Emma has recently worked in project management in gender and education and previously undertook strategy and policy research in the energy sector. Her previous research areas have included energy, gender, complexity, human rights, and civil society. Emma holds a BA (Hons) in Political Science and a MIR from the University of Western Australia, along with a MDS from the University of Melbourne.
