Dean Muraya is a research assistant at Samuel Hall. He has extensive experience working with refugees and migrants in the Netherlands and in Greece. In Moria, Dean worked as a member of the protection of vulnerable cases unit and the housing and planning unit with Starfish Foundation and Danish Refugee Council. In the field of development, Dean has focused on working with marginalised groups, working closely with Kibera Hamlets in 2012 to rebuild and restructure a centre for marginalised youths. Recently Dean co-led the Women's Empowerment SME program with LocalAid Kenya. Dean holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, majoring in Sociology and minoring in Political Science from Amsterdam University College and is currently pursuing his Masters Degree in International Development at Sciences Po, Paris.
